Our Land

This is our native land

What a priceless heritage

Won for us by our forefathers' blood and sweat service;

Brothers we must follow on

Where our fathers led the way

Now our greatest enemies are greed, conceit and selfishness

This has spoilt our way of life;

And made us love our country less;

So will our nation succeed;

Or always suffer from greed.

by Emmanuel Kojo Adae

Don't Give Up

You started at the same time as them but they are ahead of you

Don't give up

No, never give up

Console yourself that once there is life, there is hope,

and start all over again

And believe that the Good Lord will help you to succeed by all means

So don't give up,

No, never, ever, give up!

by Priscilla Kesewa Adubofour

Man's Evil Deeds

Man's evil deeds are written on brass,

The good ones on water.

When I am right no one remembers,

But when I am wrong no one forgets.

by Prince Antwi Buasioko
